The making of Laser Graffiti

The recording of Laser Graffiti was an adventure and a half, but a lot of fun. Fresh of the Back of the “Robots Are Cool” tour, we started pre-production in South Melbourne in December 2008, before moving to Surry Hills to start tracking with Scott Horscroft (the Presets, silverchair, The Panics) at Big Jesus Burger Studios (BJB). After dramas of freight (our gear arriving a day late) and insufficiency of drums (more is always better, right), we started tracking. Our drums sounds (courtesy of Bozza) were huge, heavy and with just the right mix of double kick and crazy awesome fills.

Thomy and the Tanks on tour with Galvos!
